When we first set foot in Charyn Canyon, We were completely awestruck by its grandeur. The most popular section, the Valley of Castles, truly lives up to its name, with towering rock formations resembling ancient fortresses. Hiking through the breathtaking landscape, I felt a deep connection to the earth’s history. We spent the night camping by the river, falling asleep to the soothing sounds of the water in the village, making it one of the most peaceful experiences of our travels.

Kaindy and Kolsai Canyons – A Combination of Water and Rock
Near the famous Kaindy Lake, Kaindy Canyon offers a unique blend of rugged rock formations and lush greenery. Kaindy Lake itself, known for its submerged forest, adds an eerie yet beautiful charm to the area. One of its most fascinating features is the Singing Dune, a massive sand dune that produces a melodic sound when the wind blows over it. Climbing the Singing Dune was an adventure in itself. The soft, shifting sand made every step an effort, but reaching the top was worth it. As I slid down, the vibrations created a deep, humming sound, making it one of the most surreal experiences of our journey.
